Naranag-Gangabal Trek

Naranag-Gangabal trek is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful treks in Kashmir region of Jammu & Kashmir state. Gangabal is nestled at the foothill of Mount Haramukh and overwhelmingly one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. Naranag on the other hand is in the Ganderbal district and is known for its utterly scenic meadows and an ancient Shiva Temple. Naranag-Gangabal is a short trek that is best taken during the midsummer. The trekking trail is as beautiful as the destinations; it passes through crystal clear brooks, lush green meadows and beautiful gorges and ridges. Throughout the trail enjoy the salubrious climate and the pristine nature that is nothing less than perfect.

Arrival – Srinagar – Naranag – Trunkhul – Gangabal – Naranag – Srinagar – Departure

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

Where Every Journey Begins with a Scenic Embrace:

On arrival at Srinagar, meet our representative at the airport. He shall help you transfer to the houseboat. En route houseboat, enjoy sightseeing. Overnight stay in the houseboat/Hotel.

Day 2: Srinagar – Naranag – Butsheri – Trunkhul (by car 65 kms)

A Journey Through Enchanted Valleys and Hidden Trails:

Today, we shall be driving through the villages of Ganderbal in the Sind valley and shall make it to Naranag. We shall also visit the 9th century Buddhist temple en route. On the same day will start trekking from Naranag to Butsheri. The trekking trail will pass through dense pine forest. We will be staying overnight at Trunkhol.

From Majestic Meadows to Sacred Reflections:

Today we shall be walking through the meadows of Budpathri. It is a flower-strewn path that leads to Gangabal Lake. We shall be camping overnight near Gangabal Lake.

Immersed in Serenity by Kashmir's Sacred Jewel:

We shall be enjoying sightseeing around Gangabal or take a walk to Kolsar Lake and try fishing. Overnight stay.

A Scenic Passage from Sacred Peaks to Urban Serenity:

Today, we will leave Gangabal and trek back to Naranag. We shall take the same route and cross through meadows of Budpathri, Trunkhol and descend from Butsheri to reach Naranag. From Naranag, we shall take a car ride for Srinagar. Overnight stay at houseboat.
